Zombies! Need more Brains

Picture

- Setup and Rules -

Objective  - To be the first Zombie Player to gain 30 or more Brain Points to end the Game, then all the other Players have one last chance (round) to get more points than them and steal the win and become the Zombies! Need more Brains winner and to become the "Master Zombie! Leader".

Deluxe Set - Place the Zombies! Need more Brains Game-board Mat in the center of the table all Players choice a Zombie! figure in the colour they want and  Place all the Zombie figures on the first "zero space". If playing Horde Mode, place the Zombie Turn tokens which indicate if you are still in or out of the round in a row in order of the highest score to the lowest score, on the first Turn just place these in random order. The Pink Brain token goes on the first Player to indicate which is the first Player that makes the first decision to stay in "More Brains", or stop and go out, "No more Brains". If you decide to end your round and go out, you remove your Zombie! token from the active row and place it in front of you and place the Pink Brain Token on the next highest scoring Player in the row that decided to continue on in the next round. See Diagram No.2.

Other Sets - Digital and the Pocket versions usually don't come with a Game-board Mat. See Diagram No.1 for the table layout of the cards. These use Brain Points tokens to keep score.

General Setup - Each player choices and represents a different Zombie figure looking for Brains!
All Players place their zombie figure in front of them (if you don't use a Game-mat to score, place all your Brain Points earned in the game, in front of you as well). The Stating Player is the Player that owns the Game or is the winner of the last KickAss Game played or use whatever random system you want. This Player is the first Player who shuffles and deals, the next Player clockwise cuts the Zombie! Need more Brains deck then places the deck in the Zombies! Need more Brains Deck area in the center of the table. See Diagram. No.1 for the table layout of the cards.

The Cards
Zombie! Brain Cards
 - Zombie! Brain cards Score Brains/Points equal to the brain symbols on each card which is from 1 to 3 points. They collect the total of their Brain Points when declaring "No More Brains", they stop "Pushing their Luck" and collect all their Points and end their Turn.

Gunfire Cards - Immediately do 1x "Bullet" Hit to your Zombie! If you take 2x "Bullet" Hits your Zombie is incapacitated and ends the round with NO points. (If playing in "Horde Mode", then all Zombies that are still "in" the active row and still in the hunt take 1x "Bullet" Hit each but not those that have left the hunt, "No More Brains!", as they are no longer in the round. If you take take 2x or more "Bullet" Hits from a "Gunfire" card or a "Head Shot" card you are incapacitated and out of the round and receive NO points this round. This does not effect any previous won Brain/Points.

Head Shot Card - Your Zombie takes an instant 2x "Bullet" Hits and is immediately incapacitated and out of the Round. (In Horde Mode all Zombies will take 2x Bullet Hits and are all incapacitated).

Chase Humans - If you declare "More Brains" you must continue next Turn and you have to stay for and flip the next two cards over and suffer both of their effects, good or bad, or pass "No more Brains" and collect your current Brain Points but you are out of the rest of this round.

Double Rampage - The next card flipped, no matter what it is, Brains, Chase or a Bullets card it will be doubled, its effects are doubled for that next card only. You suffer double its effects or points.

How to Play the Basic Game (Black Jack) Style Game
1. The Dealer draws the top card of the face-down Zombies Need more Brains deck and places it face-up in the Fate Card area in the middle of the table for the clockwise Player to play.
2. The next Player Clockwise from the dealer can choose to press on and "Press their Luck" and take another card saying "More Brains!" or they can stop by saying "No more Brains!" and collecting all the Brain points they have been deal so far. They can "Press their Luck" and take as many cards as they dare. Before they are incapacitated, they determine when they want to stop taking cards.
3. If not using the Deluxe Game-board Mat in the Deluxe set for scoring use the Brain Tokens as Points and keep them in front of you. Brains are worth 1 Point, Hearts= 5 Points for scoring.
4. For each Card they have with one, two or three Brains on it, they collect that amount of Brain Points but only after they decide to stop and collect Brains and not "More Brains!" and continue.
5. If they get One Bullet from a Card this is a wound and a warning that it might be time to, "No more Brains", and stop taking cards and collect your Points. If you get 2 " Gunfire" cards with Bullets on them or 1 " Head Shot" card, with 2 Bullets on it, then they are incapacitated and score NO Brain Points this round no matter how many Brain cards they might have flipped earlier. They then shuffle the cards and the next Player clockwise cuts the cards and now the last Player that just flipped cards deals for the next clockwise Player to get Points and then the next Player etc.
6. If a Player at any time gets 2 bullets, "Gunfire cards", or 1 " Head Shot" card they are automatically out and receive no Brains/Points that round. If they flip a, "Chase Humans" card, they can stop and collect their Points or if the want to continue they say, "More Brains!", and must take the next 2 cards and suffer whatever effects they have if any. If they flip a "Double Rampage" card, and they decide to continue and take another card, whatever the next card is, its effect will be doubled. A "Chase Humans", becomes they must flip then next 4 cards, a "Gunfire", becomes 2 Bullets and incapacitates the Player, a "Brains" card will double value to whatever amount of Brain points is on the card. A "Head Shot" cad is an automatic incapacitated and no points this round.
7. In a Turn a Player can say "More Brains", and the dealer will deal them another card flipped face-up in front of them. They can keep "Pushing their Luck" and say "More Brains" again and again scoring more "Brains"/Points until they either say "No More Brains", and stop and collect all the "Brains" points they have been deal so far, or they get 2 or more Bullet cards which incapacitates them, ends their Turn, they receive NO points that round and it is the next clockwise Players Turn.
8. Once a Player has reached 30 or more "Brain"/Points they game is over and they are the provisional winner, but every other Player that still has a score under 30, gets one more Turn to see if they can steal the win from this winning Player. They must not equal the provisional winners score, they must pass it to steal their win and become the new Zombies! Need more Brains winner, if not the provisional winner wins. At the end of each round once everyone has had a Turn a free "Pity Brain" worth 1 point is given to the Player with the lowest score to help them catch up.

How to Play (Zombie Horde Mode) the Interactive Style Game - All card effects and rules stay the same as the base game except Zombies Players play as a Horde, they all play together at the same time using the same card effects. Each Player takes a Zombie! token that matches the colour of their Zombie! figure. These Zombie! Tokens are placed in a row randomly the first round and then in score order from right to left in following Turns. In the case of a tie, the first Player to have that score is in front of any other Player that gets the same score latter in the game. The start player shuffles and the cuts the cards and deals the first Zombies! Card face-up into the Zombies! Fate area. Now all players, starting with the dealer declares if they are, “No more Brains”, taking their Brain/points and ending their round or “Need more Brains”, pressing their luck and continuing on. For those that choose to continue, the same dealer without shuffling the cards deals the next card
face-up and this effects “all” Players that have not ended their round that are still in play. The dealer, if still in play, chooses first, if he has ended their round the next Player still in play clockwise picks first. Either “No more Brains”, taking their Brains/score and ending their round or “Need more Brains”, continuing on. All Players still in play choose to leave or "Press Their Luck" and continue until all players have either been incapacitated or have left the round and collected their Brains/points score. Any cards that have been played face-up that round where played face-up in the "Zombie! Fate Card" area on the table for all to see. After all Players have stopped play, these cards are all collected together to create the new main face-down deck. The Player with the most Brain Points is now the new dealer and decides first if they are going to stay in "More Brains", or leave the round "No more Brains". Then the next highest score decides if they are going to continue or leave until all Players have made up their minds what they are doing this round. If out they collect their Points and take no more part in the game all Players that decided to continue all suffer the effect of the next card flipped. The same dealer continues to deal The win conditions are the same, the first to 30, (or over 30), points ends the game, everyone else, under 30 points, can play in one more round to see if they can stay in the longest to get more points and steal the win from the Player who ended the game.

How to Play Solo Mode – Plays as the same Rules as the main game but in Solo mode with these changes:- You shuffle the deck, cut the cards and then play only three rounds Solo with-out shuffling the deck after each round. If you are incapacitated or you chose to stop and collect points, that ends a round and you only get three rounds with the same Deck. Score your Points and then shuffle and play another three rounds only with this new Deck to see how many maximum Brain points you can score in a total of just six only Solo rounds. If you score less than 20 Brain Points, you had a good old Zombie! Brain eating time and every one had fun. If you score greater than 20 points you are a Zombie! Winner. If you score 25 or greater than 25 points you win and you are made the Head Zombie of the Horde, if you score 30 points or more Brain points you’re the long awaited Super Zombie! leader who will dominate the Earth for all of Zombie kind. So good luck in your Solo Zombie! Needs more Brains Solo Adventure. There is always a quick next Solo game.
